The Glamour Beauty Festival opened its gates, for the second year, to all beauty-lovers on 11 and 12 of March.

Sunday  12 March 2017  2:30 pm – Saatchi Gallery, London

It rained that day.

With all the assignment deadlines for the last few weeks of Uni sneaking up behind my back, a pampering day was all I needed.

I took the District Line to Sloane Square Station with my friend, Teodora, and my saviour, a warm latte from Costa Coffee stuck to my hand.

With our purple Glamour bracelets hanging loosely around our wrists we entered the Saatchi Gallery, eyes sparkling, full of excitement.

Saw Jo Elvin, the Editor in Chief and rode the elevator with Alessandra Steinherr, Glamour’s Beauty Director, no big deal.

On the ground floor REDKEN, OGX and GHD occupied the ‘Hair Zone’ and their skilled professionals taught styling and braiding techniques.

Pixi by Petra, Fresh, Caudalie and Elizabeth Arden offered spa and skin treatments and consultations in the ‘Skin Care Zone’.

After one of Pixi’s “guru of gorgeous skin” worked her wonders on my skin, I can solemnly say that I am addicted to Pixi’s Glow Mist – a must have for flawless skin and make-up.

The Estée Edit by Estée Lauder was also present at the event helping you achieve the perfect picture in the ‘Instagram Zone’. Their new line has products ranging from a matte look to glow, from a bare appearance to edgy. However, the Radiance Activator combined with the Skin Glowing Balm and the Flash Photo Powder won me over.

On the first floor  you could have had your eyebrows waxed and threaded by High Definition Brows, eyelashes applied by Eyelure, while Marc Jacobs Beauty, Laura Mercier and Nars Cosmetics made every make-up lovers’ dreams come true with their products and artists.

IMG_20170321_154330_611[1].jpgThe second floor hosted the talks, Lorraine Pascale talked about how to become a #girlboss. It was refreshing to see her so down to earth, talking about her bumps in the road to success, how that morning she ironically did not feel like a girl-boss and had to hold a lecture on this topic.

Overall it was an amazing experience and I can’t wait for next year’s event.

My name is Irina, born and raised in Bucharest, Romania, currently chasing my dreams in London, United Kingdom. I first smiled on 23 October 1997 and I have done so since. In 2016, I wanted to create a blog to have an outlet for my creativity – a safe space where I could express myself and talk about subjects I am passionate about – beauty, fashion, lifestyle. I find inspiration in the little things and I always write with a cup of coffee next to me.
