24 hours in: Sibiu

Slowly, but surely, my blog is turning into my travel diary. So after my 24-hour trip to Brasov, my family and I loaded the car with our luggage and continued our adventure through Romania.

The second stop on the map was Sibiu, right in the heart of Transylvania, Romania.

The city mesmerized me from the first glance.

In 2008, Sibiu was named by Forbes.com the 8th most idyllic place to live – this says a lot.

We wandered around the old town, keeping our eyes on the alluring architecture. We later strolled around the market in The Great Square(Piata Mare).

The Evangelical Cathedral left me speechless at the sight of it, giving the city a Gothic vibe.

We made a pit stop on the Bridge of Lies (Podul Minciunilor) where we took a bunch of photos and admired the beauty behind every building.

Before we hit the road towards Cluj-Napoca, we recharged our batteries with a warm cup of coffee from a local coffee shop.

My name is Irina, born and raised in Bucharest, Romania, currently chasing my dreams in London, United Kingdom. I first smiled on 23 October 1997 and I have done so since. In 2016, I wanted to create a blog to have an outlet for my creativity – a safe space where I could express myself and talk about subjects I am passionate about – beauty, fashion, lifestyle. I find inspiration in the little things and I always write with a cup of coffee next to me.
