It is officially winter time, even though it has been freezing in London since the beginning of November.
Talking about winter and freezing to death, I have now sat under my blankets with a hot cup of tea to tell you all about my winter skincare routine.
I have combination skin and during winter it gets sensitive and very dry. But I have a couple of products that save the day.
Whenever I wear foundation and it’s beginning to be cold outside, I notice that my skin is not glowing as it normally is in the summer-time or when I don’t wear makeup. I use the Pixi Glow Mist, which I adore, and it makes my skin look fresh and healthy. Honestly, I use it so often that you can even ask my boyfriend about this product, he will know about it!
To remove makeup I use a face wash I bumped into when I went grocery shopping and needed a new one. Yes, literally bumped into each other, it even said “Sorry!” The face wash that I use is Sandalwood and vitamin E from Alyumi. However, I also used one with Turmeric and it worked wonders!
Coconut Oil – I use this for everything, from removing makeup and moisturising my body to hair masks and cooking. Use it, it is all natural.
I have already talked about the Freeman Beauty face masks, and the Garnier Moisture Bombs on my blog, but they really do make a difference. For me, it helps to have a pamper day when I drink a cup of coffee, apply a face mask and exfoliate my skin while watching a movie. Not only because I am taking time for myself and enjoying the small things, but also because my skin will thank me later.
After using face masks, I moisturize my skin with the Estee Edit pink peony overnight water mask. It is incredible! Even my mom loves it. It makes your face so soft and healthier than ever. Sadly, I have just finished mine and I have no idea if I can repurchase it again, as they don’t have it on their website anymore. Another moisturiser that I use is from Olay and also, your skin will be glowing if you apply this before you apply your makeup.
I hope this was useful. I love all of these products and I use them incredibly much but do keep in mind that not all products work for all skin types. Kisses!
