December Favourites 2017

Hello girls and boys,

December is over and I can feel a tear drop down my right cheek. Sadly, Christmas is over, but NYE is approaching, and it’s approaching fast.

2017 has flown by with the speed of light and I still can’t wrap my head around it.

It was a good year.

This morning I woke up in Cluj-Napoca, my soul city. I am here for NYE with my lovely boyfriend – some sort of romantic getaway.

With a warm just-brewed cup of coffee next to my laptop, I am typing everything you need to know about my December favourites.

My skin gets extremely dry during winter and what has saved me is the Elizabeth Arden 8-hour cream, which can be even used on lips and of course, dry skin. I remember I received this at the Glamour Beauty Festival at the beginning of the year – in March to be exact. I had other face creams to go through so I hadn’t had the chance to test this one out.

But as December tends to be harsh on my skin, I wanted to give it a try. I admit the ‘8-hour cream’ beautifully written on it won me over. It works wonders for me. After I apply it at night, I can really see a difference in the morning. My skin is glowing and looking a lot healthier. Plus, makeup artists use this for shiny lids – tried it, works.

I was so happy when I found ‘Rush’ from Victoria’s Secret at the airport when I flew to Bucharest at the beginning of the month, as I had run out of it. It is my favourite scent, this one…and ‘Passion Struck’. I mainly use ‘Rush’ in the winter time and the other one the rest of the year.

My boyfriend’s mom is incredibly talented and she made – yes, you read it right – from scratch a bag for me. It is so cool! Since I got to Oradea, it has been the only bag that I’ve taken anywhere with me.

Editing videos – I am so hooked on it. I went to Bucharest earlier this month and got to spend time with my family and friends. It was so good being back home as I hadn’t been there for around 4 months. I filmed two vlogs while I was there. I am currently with my second family – my boyfriend’s, in Oradea as I spent Christmas with them this year. It was so much fun, check them out here if you haven’t, to see everything I am talking about.

I always drink mulled wine once December comes. It is so good, I can’t help myself. Madi, my boyfriend’s sister, and I even bought new mugs for mulled wine. They are the size of my head.

I didn’t have that many favourites this month, maybe because I’ve been living out of a suitcase for the past few weeks. I hope you enjoyed this article and maybe you found it helpful.

My name is Irina, born and raised in Bucharest, Romania, currently chasing my dreams in London, United Kingdom. I first smiled on 23 October 1997 and I have done so since. In 2016, I wanted to create a blog to have an outlet for my creativity – a safe space where I could express myself and talk about subjects I am passionate about – beauty, fashion, lifestyle. I find inspiration in the little things and I always write with a cup of coffee next to me.
