January Favourites 2018

January has been stressful and filled with cups of coffee. On the 13th I a caught a flight back from Romania at around 12.00pm to my soul city and home for most of the year, London. Uni has started again with a new term and with it returned the stress and anxiety of completing assignments and keeping up with all the lectures and seminars.

Vitamins have helped me a lot during January, as I didn’t always have time to eat so I needed to make sure I was getting all my vitamins and still leading a kind-of healthy lifestyle.

All things beauty related:

I’ve been constantly using the MAC Cosmetics satin lipstick in shade “Brave”.Whenever I wanted to buy it they didn’t have it in store. My sister worked her miracles and got it for me this Christmas. The blush that I use for a pop of colour to my cheeks is the NARS in “Orgasm” shade and sometimes the I ♥  Makeup in “Summer of Love”.

Urban Decay’s Naked Heat has been a favourite palette of mine since October, but this month I have been using it religiously. Let me know if I should film an “everyday makeup” tutorial for my YT channel.Hand creams, body lotions and face creams. Taking care of your skin is crucial and moisturizing should be an all-time favourite. When I was doing my groceries shop I wandered around the beauty aisle as I had really dry hands from the cold, and I found a miracle Camomile cream from Atrixo. It is really nice and you feel your skin getting softer after using it. As for lip balm, who can have enough? Vaseline is my go-to.

TV shows…I will type up a Netflix binge-watching list for next week’s blog post, but I have to include here two shows I have been obsessed with in January. I just finished the latest season of “How to get away with murder” and I was hooked. I finished it in no time. Whenever my boyfriend asked me about my plans for the day he knew this TV show was going to be somewhere there – this, or the Gilmore Girls. I highly recommend it, if you want to have a laugh after work or school, with a glass of wine.

For most of January, I have been wearing skirts and sweaters. I love the way it looks, plus it is extremely cosy and fashionable at the same time. One that I have been wearing the most is a black, faux leather skirt with silver accents from Stradivarius Ro.

My name is Irina, born and raised in Bucharest, Romania, currently chasing my dreams in London, United Kingdom. I first smiled on 23 October 1997 and I have done so since. In 2016, I wanted to create a blog to have an outlet for my creativity – a safe space where I could express myself and talk about subjects I am passionate about – beauty, fashion, lifestyle. I find inspiration in the little things and I always write with a cup of coffee next to me.
