“The world’s first beauty distillery.”

GLAMOUR UK x Avon Distillery Event
Covent Garden London
Wandering around the streets of London on a crisp September afternoon, trying to locate “Carousel”, the magical place where the Glamour x Distillery event was going to take place. When we arrived, we were welcomed by the smiley faces of the representatives, dressed in all white with a fine copper embroidery of the word “distillery” on their attire.
The venue was beautifully decorated with copper pipes leading to laboratory flasks filled with colourful liquids. The theme of the event was clean beauty and the refreshments were in the same tone: carrot and orange juice, ice-cold water with cucumber and lemon.
Avon has officially launched their new game-changing skincare line called Distillery, made with pure and impactful ingredients.
But what is Distillery and why do we need it?
The products are eco-conscious, made with none or reduced water, in order to keep the potency intact, and with zero chemicals. Distillery currently has five products, an entire skincare routine, with prices starting at £15.
The CLEAN BREAK cleanser £15
• super-hydrating cleansing balm
• gently melts away makeup
• infused with apricot oil, mango butter and cocoa butter
The PURIFY facial oil £22
• mattifies and moisturises the skin
• gentle on sensitive skin due to distilled rose extract
• with 100% pure mineral sunscreen and 100% plant-based glycerine
The SHADE THE DAY day cream £18
• mattifies and moisturises the skin
• gentle on sensitive skin due to distilled rose extract
• with 100% pure mineral sunscreen and 100% plant-based glycerine
The C-SHOT powder £22
• add the powder to your moisturiser to leave the skin looking brighter and more luminous
• with the purest form of Vitamin C in powder form and Vitamin E
The SLEEP POTION night cream £18
• moisturises the skin for 48 hours
• with niacinamide to shrink pores, 100% plant-based glycerine and sodium hyaluronate
What is more, the clean beauty brand’s packaging is made out of recycled glass, the cartons in which the products come in are endorsed by The Forest Stewardship Council and the caps are made out of aluminum, to reduce the impact on the environment.
“It’s about making conscious choices at any decision point,” said Gina Ghura, Avon’s Director of Future Innovation when speaking about the sustainability of the brand.
