Imagine yourself next to the Eiffel Tower on a red and white check blanket, with a raffia basket filled with the most delicious French cheeses and pastries while a cold bottle of rose wine is waiting to be opened.
Or perhaps a ride down the Venetian canals in a wooden gondola painted in bold colours with an attractive gondolier whistling your favourite ballad on a warm afternoon is more your style.
Nevertheless, you need to look stylish this spring/summer 2019 and here are a few of our favourite trends.
1. Animal Print

If you have just purchased another item of clothing resembling a leopard’s or snake’s skin, do not worry – animal print is not going out of style anytime soon.
The glamorous animal print has been in almost every catwalk show and designers shed a light on new trendy prints for this spring/summer, such as Burberry and their iconic Bambi skin imprinted garments.
Cow print has been under the spotlight as well and we are digging it. Celebrities are also enjoying the animal print frenzy with Kylie Jenner wearing a bathing suit from Onia x WhoWhatWear ($195), Meghan Markle was spotted wearing a pair of Gianvito Rossi Cow print plexi pumps (£590) and Victoria Beckham said it became her favourite print and incorporated it into her latest collection.
Leaving the sky-high prices behind, many high-street brands and online retailers launched items featuring animal print. If you search for ‘animal print’ on ASOS, over 1,600 styles will pop up, with more and more every day.
2. White Is The New Black

The spring/summer ’19 ready-to-wear collections, from designers all around the world, showcased blinding white creations all over the runway, from complex Gucci outfits and Comme des Garcons’ head-to-toe white takeover to Louis Vuitton’s smart coats and Balmain’s statement attire.
Retailers on the affordable side of the fashion industry, such as Missguided, New Look, Nasty Gal and ASOS, offer alternatives to the spring/summer achromatic trend.
3. Shades Of Nude

Another trend for this spring/summer 2019 is neutrals. This season Burberry has come out with fabulous trench coats in beautiful shades of beige that made the top of our wanted list, while Fendi and Hermes mixed neutrals for a sleek look.
Try Nasty Gal’s satin shirt or H&M‘s beige trench coat to add the Burberry-inspired sleek touch to your wardrobe or wear this pair of nude cargo trousers from Stradivarius to fit Fendi’s aesthetic.
4. Leather

With Alexander Wang’s structured jackets and Celine’s fitted trench coats, leather was a reoccurring texture on the runway. Leather jackets have been a staple in every fashionista’s wardrobe for a long time and it seems that each year designers go back to this texture to design timeless pieces.
Faux-leather is extremely versatile and it can give an item of clothing a tougher feel, such as in Alexander McQueen creations, or even a sophisticated allure, like in Miu Miu or Tom Ford shows.
Just in case you do not already own one in your wardrobe, here are a few faux-leather jacket options.
5. Crochet

Colourful crochet cover-ups, neutral hand-made textured layers and carefully crafted and detailed macramé tops – designers embraced this bohemian look and served us dreamy looks.
This trend makes us want to book, as soon as possible, the next flight to the warmest destination, next to the beach and the salty sea, or buy tickets to a major music festival.
